Acetaminophen is one of the most popular pain relievers Americans reach for, but a new study has discovered a major side effect.
Acetaminophen, a common ingredient found in many pain relief and fever reducing medications, may dull your attitude and emotions. That’s according to researchers from Ohio State University. Twenty-three percent of all Americans take one of more than 600 medications that contain acetaminophen. The drug has been on the market for over seventy years.
In other health news, avoiding food that contains nickel may help you fight off fat. A small group of women with a body mass index of 32 and higher were put on a restricted nickel diet. After 6 months, over half of the women reduced their body fat by 5 percent and saw their BMIs drop by 4.2 points. Foods with high levels of nickel include legumes, whole grain breads, cocoa and some vegetables.
