Artificial Sugars may Fight Aggressive Cancer Cells

Artificial sweetener brands like Sweet n’ Low, Necta and Sweet Twin may be able to fight the protein found in aggressive cancer cells. A team of researchers from the University of Florida School of medicine found the popular sweetener ingredient saccharin stopped these aggressive cancer cells from growing. These new findings may help create a drug for people with breast, lung, liver, prostate, pancreatic and kidney cancer. In other health news, the World Health Organization also known as ‘WHO’ says that the ingredient inside popular weed killer Round Up may cause cancer. Glyphosate the active ingredient in the monsanto co herbicide was classified as probably carcinogenic to humans by WHO. The product is mostly used on corn and soybean crops that are genetically modified to survive it. The weed killer has been detected in food, water and in the air after it has been sprayed.
