When stress takes a toll on us, it has its health consequences.
There are three common types of stress; routine stress, traumatic or stress involving a sudden negative change in your life. But letting stress take over can lead to overeating or digestive issues, headaches, trouble sleeping and anger. A Swedish study found military men that reacted badly to stress put them at a higher risk for coronary heart disease, or even worse; high blood pressure, diabetes, depression or anxiety. But not all stress is bad for us. In fact, some stress levels keep us motivated. Don't forget to wear blue tomorrow, March 6th in honor of colon cancer awareness month.
