![Invasive Biopsies to Become a thing of the Past]()
Invasive biopsies may be a thing of the past… they could soon be replaced with a simple blood test.
Getting a biopsy done could soon be as easy and painless as giving a blood sample. The new procedure is called a liquid biopsy and it is currently being tested in U.S. labs. A blood sample may be able to find even the smallest traces of
cancer DNA in the blood. If approved it would replace a traditional biopsy or c-t scan and help doctors monitor the effectiveness of certain
cancer treatments.
