Nutritionists Develop Test Tube Burger

Would you eat meat that was created in a lab?

Well you may get the chance to test it out very soon. Dutch scientist mark post unveils his latest creation — a test tube burger, at a public tasting just yesterday. It’s being touted as a way to keep up with meat-eating demands, without exhausting the resources and as for the taste

“There’s quite an intense taste, it’s close to meat. It’s not that juicy but the consistency is perfect,” says Hanni Ruetzler, Austrian nutritionist.

“The absence is I feel, like, the fat. But the bite feels like a conventional hamburger,” says Josh Schonwald/ American journalist

Post and his colleagues made the meat from muscle cells of two organic cows. The cells were put in to a nutrient solution to develop into muscle tissue growing into small strands of meat.

It takes nearly twenty-thousand strands of meat make up the single five-ounce patty that volunteers tasted.
