According to the World Health Organization, 90,000 children die from cancer worldwide each year so tonight FOX 2 and our sister station Univision, teamed up with the community to walk in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness. With us tonight is Oncology Pediatrician Dr. Juan Carlos Bernini.
According to the National Cancer Institute, leukemia or blood cell cancers and cancer of the brain account for half of all child cancer cases.
Our next Commit to Fit Health walk will be Wednesday July 24th. We are raising awareness for children to get their annual vaccinations before school starts. We will have a guest speaker so be sure to save the date and bring the kiddos.
