It's Wednesday---time for your fox fit fix!
November is diabetes awareness month and tomorrow people will have the opportunity to learn more about their risk. The Rio Grande valley diabetes association will have a panel of diabetes experts at The Monitor this Thursday night from 6 until 8 p.m. available to answer any of your questions about this disease. The event is free to the public.

Also this Saturday is Maggie's run for hope 5k, being held at the Los Fresnos memorial park at 8 a.m. registration is open until Friday afternoon and packet pick up is this Thursday and Friday at overdrive fitness in Los Fresnos. Funds raised will go to help breast cancer patient Maggie Hammond with her medical expenses. For more information visit Maggie's run for hope on Facebook.

And don't spend thanksgiving on the couch! The turkey trot 10k and 5k is back, happening thanksgiving day at Bentsen Palm community park in mission. Registration is twenty five dollars for adults, free for kids and twenty dollars for students under 17. You can register online or at valley running co locations, Footworks in Harlingen and bicycle world.
