Those that ate seven servings of produce decreased their risk of early death by 42 percent. Eating veggies may prove to be a better for your health than fruits---by lowering your risk of cancer by 25 percent and heart disease risk by 31 percent. Right now, government guidelines recommend we eat least one to two cups of fruit a day and one to three cups of veggies a day.
