Healthcare reform will impact each and everyone one of us come January 1st 2014, but a lot of Americans have questions.
The government has provided a new tool to better explain the healthcare insurance marketplace this resource is in the form of the website known as Healthcare.gov.
“It’s a place where they can go and share their opinions about health insurance and to find out if the insurance that they currently have covers the services that they need when they get sick. We also provide information on how they can be and stay healthy,” says Mayra e. Alvarez M.H.A., director of public health policy
Healthcare.gov is available in 14 languages including Spanish. Americans can sign up for e-mail or text alerts.
The website also features preventative health services and coverage information for young adults, small businesses, and families.
Americans are allowed to purchase insurance beginning October 1st. Under President Barrack Obama’s Affordable HealthCare Act, all Americans are required to be insured beginning January 1st, 2014.
